Don Carlos Belt

I needed a new belt to go with the Alborghetti suit, since my old one was not up to the task. I like the look of the S-hook type buckle, so I wanted to make another one in that style. My first attempt, while pretty and functional, didn’t really have a good grounding in historical accuracy:

After doing a proper portrait survey, I decided to copy the buckle from the Alonso Sanchez Coello portrait of Don Carlos of Austria. It’s similar in style to my old buckle, except that the loops are cast flat and bent into shape.
