On the occasion of Collette de Valois’ investiture as Baroness of Andelcrag, I painted her a miniature portrait, which I put into a turned wooden (mahogany?) box. This was accompanied by a letter that included a poem regarding the nature of her new position, sealed using a seal matrix that I had carved from soapstone.
