White Satin Cioppa

After the first couple of times I made a cioppa, I swore that I would never be crazy enough to make one entirely by hand. It turned out that I was wrong.

The fiber content of the satins is unclear, but it seems likely to be rayon based on burn testing. The body is lined with medium weight pink cotton/linen.

The instructions from my tailor's manual

The body of the cioppa is constructed in sections, which are each pleated, then combined together and attached to a yoke.
