In preparation for Pennsic 42, I finally got around to making myself a silk banner (standard). Like so many things, it really wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be, thought it did have some time consuming steps. I stretched the silk on a frame made from PVC pipe, and the coloring was done with Jacquard dyes. The pole is 1 1/4″ poplar with a chromed brass sleeve.
