The SCA has a number of opportunities for ceremony and ritual, which call for speeches, oaths, contracts, or other bits of oration. While some are able to take these moments on extemporaneously, others of us like to have something prepared. Fortunately, there are a number of extant period sources that can be adapted to fit our needs.
