Layers of the interlining
Dark green wool felt, grey linen / cotton blend, and additional layer of the wool for padding and stiffening under the bust.
All three interlining layers stacked and basted starting from the center front going vertically, then horizontally. The straps are also basted through their centers. This is done very loosely, just enough to keep the layers from wiggling apart when the pad stitching begins.
