Dreamstone

Went to Dreamstone today and had a lovely time. The weather was perfect, I was able to comfortably wear all of my layers.
I had a costuming fiasco last night. I decided that I HAD to wear my Flemish outfit and rediscovered that the partlet was moth-eaten. The Partlet is a necessity because the straps of the dress are screwed up and the partlet covers it nicely. I decide to remake the partlet. Then I remembered that my straw hat got turned into my German puff and slash hat and I discovered that my peasanty-Flemishy hat had gone missing. Great. So I had a panicked session of making a partlet and a new hat. They both turned out pretty good and I was able to get my Flemish groove on at the event. Sadly, I didn’t get any new pictures of the new accessories, but they look the same as the old ones.

I learned all kinds of new stuff today: Gold couching, appliquĂ© techniques (Thanks to Jadi for all the wonderful tips!), fingerloop braiding which I have been wanting to learn since 5th grade (no, I’m not exaggerating), and I got to practice my blackwork. A wonderful event all around.
