Baby Shower for Milo
July 23, 2013
So, since it has been forever since I’ve updated the blog, I’ve also made a few other cakes.
My friends asked me to make some caked for a baby shower for a baby boy. He has since been born and is named Milo!
Here is what I made after scouring the internet for something fairly easy, boy-ish, and cute:
I think I got this idea from the Wilton site, but I honestly don’t really remember. These were super-easy and cupcakes were really nice at a shower, because no one had to cut them or serve them.
To get the sticks into the cupcake wrapper, I made a small X with an x-acto knife and shoved it in.
A Cake for Grams:
Scott’s Grandmother (whom we call Grams) was turning 93 and needed a fun cake for her birthday. We were having dinner at a Chinese restaurant, so the cake needed to be tote-able. Also, I have a Pinterest addiction problem and needed to make the cake I kept seeing there. So here is Gram’s 93rd birthday cake:
Yep, you’ve seen this cake too and wanted to make it. I know. Go for it. It was easy and yummy. (Also, I’m noticing that in every picture of my cakes, there are D&D figures, I swear we do clean the table off occasionally!!)
