More Mundane Sewing or Trying to finish some more of Summer’s Projects

So, I finally managed to finish the painting the scroll for Adela and the quilt for Jude.  Yay for progress!

It was my first quilt and I think I might make one for the new baby on the way, once I find out if it is a boy or girl.  Quilting has not become my new passion, but it was fun for a break from other sewing.

Here are pics of the finished quilt.  Jude is still napping, so I haven’t given it to him yet.

Jude's QuiltThe backFor the actual quilting, I just did straight horizontal lines.  I was going to do something more swirly and frilly, but then I saw the horizontal quilting on someone’s blog and I loved how modern and clean it looked.  Which is kinda weird ’cause usually I’m not into “modern” at all.  😀

Back from D*Con

Just back from the Con.  Had a really good time.  I entered the Eleanora in the Friday night costume contest.  I didn’t win anything, but I got to hang out with a bunch of other costumers, so it was fun anyway.  I also did the parade on Saturday and I got to hold the SCA banner.  Woot!  The parade was really fun and HUGE!  There were a zillion people watching it and a second zillion in it.

Anyway, my costumes were a success, if hot, and I had a lot of fun.  I’ll try to post some pictures from the con later.

Right now, I have to have a marathon scroll painting session.
