So, I realize that I haven’t posted anything in a month of Sundays…I’m going to try to be better about keeping up with the blog this summer. I have a big list of projects to accomplish this summer.
At the end of the school year, I got a new job at another school. The new school is fancier than my old school, where we were the jeans and t-shirts types of teachers. This means that I need some new work clothes! I also got several fun project-y books for my birthday, so I also have some fun mundane projects to do. So with that being said, here is my list for summer that I can think of…
- Make some new work clothes
- Pants (Vogue 1052 http://voguepatterns.mccall.com/v1052-products-8860.php?page_id=862
- I might also make the jacket for this…
- Update: the pants are cut out, but just found out I’m pregnant, so they are on hold until I can actually fit into them again. Maybe next summer
Shirt (Vogue 8733)http://voguepatterns.mccall.com/v8733-products-14171.php?page_id=864- jacket (Vogue 1246) http://voguepatterns.mccall.com/v1246-products-14157.php?page_id=262
- maybe another jacket from my new book

Puzzle Cube for Jude- Build some more paper buildings for my new classroom
Finish New England VillageEmpire State Building- Roman Fort

Finish Jude’s Quilt(In honor of my Aunt Sandra, I’m going to try to finish it before he turns 40!!) Done 9/11, only a little after summer
That is all I can think of now, I’m sure there are more projects lurking…
Here is the owl and bunny!
And here is the puzzle cube I made for Jude. One of my students had one from a park she went to and I thought it would be really cool made with pictures of the family. I found the instructions online (of course!) here: http://www.chicaandjo.com/2008/05/08/magic-folding-wooden-photo-cubes/
