Magna Faire

So I managed to finish up my Zöpfe for my second A&S entry at Magna Faire earlier this month.  There was a wide variety of entry types, and some amazing work brought to the faire by artisans from all over the kingdom.  While I tend to be super critical of my own work (I feel like a lot of people can relate to being their own worst critic at times) I am trying to make an effort to not be so harsh of my own work.  I received a good score and some feedback to help improve my work as well as my documentation because let’s face it, I think that can be the toughest part for anyone.  Not so much finding the documentation but making sure it’s presented in a format preferred by the peers who help judge and give feedback.  I also need to make it a habit to step up my presentation game for my entries because I get so focused on trying to work on my project it doesn’t even occur to me to put down a nice length of fabric to disguise the table and tie the display together instead of a bunch of wig stands on a table with some crazy looking hair pieces.

Overall I felt pretty good about the work I did, save a couple of minor tweaks to bring it to a level I can really be proud of.  Pics of my display coming soon!
